Methods for Operating and Maintaining Dust Collectors in Cement Plants
The manufacturer of the cement tank top dust collector shares the maintenance and care methods for the dust collector fan. Let's take a look with the editor from Tenghui.
In industrial dust collector components, the fan is an important part. Only correct maintenance and care can ensure the safe and reliable operation of the fan and extend its service life. Therefore, sufficient attention must be paid when using the fan.
1. Maintenance and care of the impeller
During the initial operation of the impeller and at all regular inspections, it is necessary to check for defects such as cracks, wear, and dust accumulation whenever possible.
Whenever possible, the impeller must be kept clean, and the accumulated dust and rust should be regularly brushed off with a wire brush. As the operating time increases, these dust particles may not adhere evenly to the impeller, causing an imbalance and resulting in rotor vibration.
Once the impeller has been repaired, it needs to be rebalanced. If conditions allow, a portable dynamic balancing instrument can be used on-site for balancing. Before dynamic balancing, all set screws must be checked to ensure they are tight. Since the impeller has been operating in an unbalanced state for some time, these screws may have loosened.
2. Maintenance and care of the casing and intake chamber
In addition to regularly checking for severe wear inside the casing and intake chamber and removing significant dust accumulation, no other special maintenance is required for these areas.
Regularly check that all fastening bolts are tightened. For fans with compressed bolts, the butterfly spring on the base should be compressed to the installation height specified in the drawings.
3. Maintenance and care of the bearing section
Regularly check the lubrication oil supply for the bearings. If there is an oil leak in the housing, the bolts on the end cover can be tightened a bit. If that doesn't work, it may be necessary to replace the sealing material.
4. Maintenance and care of other supporting equipment
The maintenance and care of supporting equipment, including motors, electric actuators, instruments, and gauges, can be found in their respective user manuals. These user manuals are provided by the respective manufacturers, and our factory will randomly include these manuals in the packaging for users.
5. Maintenance and care when the fan is not in use
When the fan is not in use and the ambient temperature is below 5°C, the residual water in the equipment and pipelines should be drained to avoid freezing damage to the equipment and pipelines.
6. Maintenance work when the fan is stored unused for a long time
(1) Apply anti-rust oil to the surface of the bearings and other main components to prevent rust.
(2) The fan rotor should be manually rotated half a turn (180°) approximately every half month. Before moving, a mark should be made on the shaft end to ensure that the point originally at the top is at the bottom after moving the rotor.
