What type of hose should be equipped with an industrial vacuum cleaner?

Industrial vacuum hoses are a type of high-tech product that has emerged alongside industrial vacuum cleaners in our world. They are a category of hoses, commonly made of PU material as well as PVC. So, what is a PU hose? Most people are likely familiar with PVC, so I won't elaborate on that. Additionally, what are the differences between PVC and PU industrial vacuum hoses? What are the advantages of industrial vacuum hoses?

Industrial vacuum hoses are a high-tech product that has emerged alongside industrial vacuum cleaners in our world. They are a type of hose, commonly made of PU material or PVC. So, what is a PU hose? Most people are familiar with PVC, so I won't elaborate on that. Additionally, what are the differences between PVC and PU industrial vacuum hoses? What are the advantages of industrial vacuum hoses? Let's explain them one by one.

Advantages of industrial vacuum hoses:

There are many answers to the question of what the advantages of industrial vacuum hoses are. Let's understand a few of them. First, we must mention that the inner surface of industrial vacuum hoses is very smooth. This means that when we use them, we don't have to worry about a lot of dust sticking to the inner wall of the hose and causing blockages. Because of the smooth inner wall, the dust we suck in with the industrial vacuum cleaner generally does not accumulate on the inner wall but flows into the dust collection bag of the vacuum cleaner. Another advantage of industrial vacuum hoses is their strong resistance to wear and bending. They are more than five times more durable and bend-resistant than other hoses. When using them, we usually don't have to worry about the hoses breaking due to bending or colliding with objects. However, we still need to be careful when using industrial vacuum hoses. Just because they are durable doesn't mean we can neglect their protection and maintenance, as that would only shorten their lifespan, ultimately resulting in our own loss. When considering the advantages of industrial vacuum hoses, we also find that they have strong resistance to oxidation and aging. Over time, dust will inevitably accumulate on the inner wall of the hose. We cannot clean the hose every time we use the vacuum cleaner. Many hoses will oxidize or age due to this reason, but our industrial vacuum hoses do not.

What is a PU hose?

PU hoses are commonly used for air pipes, water pipes, and material transport pipes. PU material, or polyurethane, has properties such as resistance to chemical corrosion, lightweight, high wear resistance, stain resistance, and resistance to inflation. The downside is that it is prone to aging. For example, looking at the parameters of a certain imported hose, we can see that PU hoses have a wide range of applications in material transport due to their strong wear resistance.

What are the differences between PVC and PU industrial vacuum hoses?

According to manufacturers of PVC pipes, there are two common materials for industrial vacuum hoses: one is made of PU material, and the other is made of PVC material. Let's compare PU hoses and PVC vacuum hoses.

PU hoses are made of PU plastic, which is short for polyurethane. PU hoses are widely used in industries such as glass, wood, steel, plastic, mining, shipbuilding, and cement for mechanical transport. They also serve as strong protective hoses. Food-grade hoses can also be used in the food and pharmaceutical industries. This product can meet the transport requirements of various industries well. PVC vacuum hoses are made of PVC synthetic materials, with high-strength galvanized metal wire spirally embedded in the flexible PVC pipe's inner wall. On the surface, PU and PVC hoses do not look very different; both are transparent and have embedded steel wires. However, there are significant differences in their performance during use.

From a material perspective, vacuum hoses made of PU material are purer and more transparent than PVC hoses. The steel wire embedded in PU hoses is made of stainless steel, which is more wear-resistant and stretch-resistant than the copper-plated steel wire in PVC hoses. Additionally, the steel wire in PU hoses is thicker than that in PVC vacuum hoses, greatly extending the lifespan of PU hoses. The lifespan of PU hoses is 7-10 times that of PVC hoses. In terms of physical and chemical properties, PU hoses have high resistance to corrosion, pressure, wear, and high temperatures, which PVC hoses cannot match. Furthermore, PU hoses do not harden in very low temperatures during winter and do not soften or yellow in very high temperatures during summer, which are advantages that PVC hoses do not have.

With this concern, we do not need to frequently clean the industrial vacuum hose after each use of the industrial vacuum cleaner, greatly saving the physical and mental labor of the operators.
